On behalf of the board, we're delighted to welcome you to our 1st Annual Sunset Soirée!

One night. One nonprofit. Preserving our Tahoe history and legacy. That, in a nutshell, is what the Sunset Soiree is all about. This fundraising event will feature food, dancing, nostalgic games and an opportunity to put on your best gown, your shiniest shoes and your blingiest jewelry. The best part? Every dollar raised benefits the Tahoe Heritage Foundation's efforts to preserve this amazing community historic landmark. Giving back just got a whole lot fancier. 

Why have a “soirée” instead of a “gala.” After all, not as many people know what a ‘soirée’ is … or how to spell it.

So, we looked it up. While a gala is “a social occasion with special entertainments or performances,” a soirée is “an evening party or gathering, typically in a private house, for conversation or music.” When we’re here together at this historic site Soirée, we’re not just having a big party; we’re at home together in our community.

Use this time together to reconnect with each other and to have fun, but also to build a connection to a new person or even a board member—we’re wearing name tags and would love to share our personal connection  to the Tallac Historic Site and learn about what brought you here. See you lakeside!

OUR MISSION
Preserve and protect the cultural heritage and natural history of the Lake Tahoe Basin through resources, restoration, interpretation and education.

Our landmark property; Tallac Historic Site is a cherished resource for the community valuing enjoyment, public education, preservation. restoration, volunteerism and diversity; hosting seasonal activities, including tours of the Pope House and grounds, museum and gift shop, education programs and special events. Conveniently located just off Hwy 89 North from Hwy 50/Lake Tahoe Blvd, this 3-miles of shoreline estates is open May - September.
